Barack Obama for President

Today, in front of the Old State Capital in Springfield, Illinois, Senator Barack Obama announced his bid for the 2008 presidency, making him the youngest Democratic presidential candidate at age 45 in the 2008 race, which also includes Senator Hillary Clinton.
In his speech, Senator Obama said:
"Let us transform this nation ... "We can build a more hopeful America. And that is why, in the shadow of the Old State Capitol, where Lincoln once called on a house divided to stand together, where common hopes and common dreams still live, I stand before you today to announce my candidacy for President of the United States of America."
His wife Michelle and their daughters Malia, 8, and Sasha, 5 stood alongside Senator Obama as he kicked off his "Obama One" campaign.
As exciting as this is, I wonder if Obama is ready to lead? He's charismatic and he's idealistic, that is without question, but is he ready for the campaign trail and the inevitable hardballs and questions about his experience that will be lobbied at him? Is having a vision one so opposite from the current state of affairs in the U.S. enough or does there need to be more know-how behind the vision required to achieve the vision?
